Mental Health Awareness Reflection




A mental health seminar was held to help raise awareness among students.
Throughout the seminar various kinds of mental heath was touched on. Among are Anxiety, Stress, Depression, Eating disorder, PTSD and many more.



For me there is this ongoing stigma that whenever mental health is touch it always goes towards Depression. Making it the face of mental health issue. This bothers me because it ignores the other side of the fence where people with bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, ADHD are ignored. Leaving them with no window of opportunity to speak up.


With all this being said, the state of my mental health I feel is nothing to worry about cause I handle my stress through sports and music. I will almost never lets these lingering thoughts stay in my head as I always live in the moment.
Overall, I feel that the seminar is quite useful as it teaches us to meditate and spread the awareness on mental health.
